Breeding

For breeding you will need both a Cow and a Bull. It is necessary that the pair of NFTs for breeding a calf, both Cow and Bull, be of the same rarity.

However, this is not the case for breeding with Cow and Bull different breeds.

For breeding, users will need to pay with $MILK, and that way they will create a new NFT, which can be a Bull or a Cow.

Breeding Recovery

When breeding, Bulls have a time-lock period during which the Bulls cannot be used for breeding. This time-lock is called Breeding Recovery Time and is determined based on the rarity and age of the bulls.

The rarer the Bull, the longer it will take for Bull to recover.

Recovery Time by age

The recovery time of a Bull NFT increases at a fixed rate depending on its rarity.

Max age: When Bulls reach the age of 2 years from their birth, they reach the maximum recovery time for each breeding, which is set at 1080 hours.

Breeding Mechanism

• The cost for breeding is a fixed price of 100,000 $MILK. When these NFTs are burned, farmers receive a 50% refund of the breeding cost.

• To initiate the breeding process, both Cow NFT and Bull NFT must be added to the Farm. Breeding is only possible between bulls and cows of the same rarity.

• The probability of resulting in a +1 higher rarity is 20%. In the same time, there is a 5% chance of a Bull NFT being born.

• Breeding one Cow NFT and one Bull NFT of the same breed guarantees a 100% probability of a cow/bull with the same breed.

• When breeding one Cow NFT and one Bull NFT of different breeds, there is a 50% probability of obtaining either a cow or a bull of one of the parent breeds.

• Once the farmer claims the newly minted NFT, it will be sent to the farmer's wallet and can be viewed in the DApp under "My NFTs".

Breeds

Angus

The Angus cattle breed is a native Scottish cow that stands out for its large size, black or colored coat and its precocity in reproduction. This breed was originated after selecting the best specimens of dark color and imposing size, which resulted in cattle of excellent quality, large size and superior meat quality.

Brahman

The Brahman breed originated from cattle imported to the United States from India. These Indian cattle are known by the name Zebu. Its size is large, broad head, straight profile, short and thick neck with developed dewlap. The horns are large, medium thick and directed backwards and outwards; the ears are of medium size, arched ribs, voluminous belly, denoting a great capacity.

Hereford

The Hereford breed originates from the South West of England, in the county of Hereford. It is one of the most important beef producing breeds in the world for meeting all those economic conditions that beef cattle breeders desire and seek. This breed is a breed that ranges from medium to large size. The tendency in its breeding is to obtain more compact cattle with tighter bloodlines, early maturity and short limbs. It is rustic and a great part of its reputation is based on its ability to roam the pastures to obtain its food.

Highland

The Highland breed has an unusual double coat of hair, which makes them suitable for high-lands conditions with strong winds and continuous rainfall. The breed's ability to find food allows them to survive in the rugged mountainous areas where they can pasture. They also have a pair of very long and heavy horns that characterize them among all other breeds, and are incredible meat producers due to their large size and balance of fat and lean muscle.

Holstein

The Holstein breed originated and developed in the Netherlands. They are most quickly recognized by their distinctive color markings and outstanding milk production. Holsteins are large cattle with black and white color patterns. This breed is distinguished by its high milk and meat production and good adaptability. Holsteins have the highest milk production in the world.
